Employment Equity

The group supports and complies to employment equity guidelines as prescribed by the South African government. We believe in equality and fairness in the workplace, and to this end drafted a policy to implement and maintain, Shumani Employment equity policy is dual-purpose;

First and foremost it covers the advancement (through training, education and skills development) of historically disadvantaged employees, and secondly, Shumani is committed to actively recruit suitably qualified or skilled people from historically disadvantaged backgrounds as new positions become available.

Ultimately, our aim is to have a workforce fully representative of the South African community, including gender equality, and on all managerial levels. Skills development is furthermore an ongoing commitment.
